Safer Internet Day
Every day is safer internet day was the key message from the E-Safety team in assembly today.
Today is a chance to think about any worries we might have using technology and the internet, but it's also about celebrating all the fantastic things technology can help us with.
If you see something change online you should:
- talk to trusted adult;
- ask an adult before you download something new;
- tell them about things you see online, especially if you are worried or upset;
- turn your device off, over or pause it. You don't need to keep watching something if it is upsetting you;
- ask an adult to show you the block and report button.
With the increasing of use of live streaming and TikTok by younger children, the risk of being tricked into getting undressed online is rising. 60% of 3-17 are using and sharing live broadcasts. To protect our children, The E-Safety Team shared a video with them about not getting undressed in front of a camera.
