School Council

Our School Council is made up of representatives from each class from Year 2 to Year 5. These pupils are democratically elected by their class peers in September and they stay in post for a whole academic year. The eight House Captains represent Year 6.

They have responsibility for being the voice of the pupils. They meet at least each half term and discuss a range of topics and they are consulted on many changes that affect them in school.

Some of the topics they have been involved with have been:

  • How we spend our charity money
  • Renewing books for the reading scheme and library
  • How to make the playground safer

During Governor visits to the school, the School Council has represented pupil views on Behaviour, ICT and Reading and they have shared their ideas on how these areas could be improved.
