    • Haverhill Science Festival

      ONE Haverhill Partnership is delighted to host the very first Haverhill Science Festival. The primary aims of the festival are to promote the study of science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics in schools; boost the educational aspirations of local students in Haverhill and promote training opportunities in high-tech industry. 

      Every school in Haverhill is taking part, and we are extremely excited that Helen Sharman CMG OBE, the first British astronaut, and renowned scientist Professor Lord Robert Winston are joining us to make it a very high-profile week for the town.

      At St Felix, we have our Catholic faith at the heart of all we do. This year we took the opportunity to bring together World Book Day and our Lenten Walk for Cafod by asking the children to walk in the shoes of a book character. Across the day we have had marching cultural icons, planet-jumping princes and bunny-hopping rabbits.

      Suffolk Agricultural Association offers schools the chance to have a tractor and farmer come and visit their pupils. Jonathan Drury of Thurlow Estate Farms joined us on 15th February to teach the children about the farm to fork journey.

    • St Felix Jólabókaflóð.

      In Iceland, they have a really special tradition for Christmas called the Jólabókaflóð.

      On Christmas Eve, people exchange books as presents. They open their books straight away and then spend Christmas Eve reading in front of the fire, eating chocolate or drinking hot chocolate!
