Admissions

St Felix RC Primary School caters for children from the ages of 3-11 and has 30 places in Reception each year Admission to the school’s nursery is administered separately from admissions to full time school.  A place in the school nursery does not guarantee a place in the reception class.

We encourage parents to meet with the head teacher and to tour the school during teaching hours.  Please contact the school office on 01440 703775 in order to arrange an appointment.

Admission to Reception

Applications for full time school can be made by completion of the Supplementary Information Form and a CAF1 form. Ideally CAF1 forms should be completed online

Admission to Nursery

Applications for the school nursery can be made by completion of the school’s own Supplementary Information Form

In-Year Applications

An application can be made for a place for a child at any time outside the admission round and the child will be admitted where there are available places.  An application should be made to the school by completing the in-year admissions application form and returning it to St Felix RC Primary School, School Lane, Haverhill, CB9 9DE or admin@st-felixrc.suffolk,sch.uk. Please ring the school on 01440 703775 for information on spaces available. You will need to complete a Suffolk In Year Application Form as well as our Supplementary Information Form

Where there are places available but more applications than places, the published over-subscription criteria, as set out in the admission arrangements for the current year, will be applied. See policy above.  Parents are advised to read the admission arrangements carefully before making their application.

If there are no places available, the child will be added to the waiting list.  Please see the admission arrangements for more details.

You will be advised of the outcome of your application in writing as soon as possible.  Applicants must be informed of the outcome of their application within 15 school days of receipt, but the aim is to notify applicants of the outcome of their application within 10 school days of receipt.

You have the right to appeal to an independent appeal panel if your application is unsuccessful. Please follow the Appeal Guidance.

If you have any questions in relation to in-year admissions please contact Agnieszka Lambert on 01440 703775.  You may also wish to discuss in-year applications with the local authority.
