Full time – Maternity cover/fixed term cover starting January 2020 until May half term

We have one vacancy for a class teacher at St. Felix RC Primary School to

start January 2020 to work in a Year 1/2 class. Our very successful, caring school needs a class teacher to join our friendly and supportive team of committed staff.

The successful candidate must:

  • demonstrate a child-centric approach to teaching and learning;
  • be committed to providing quality education;
  • be able to demonstrate excellent classroom practice;
  • be able to create a stimulating learning environment for children of all abilities;
  • have high expectations of children’s work and behaviour;
  • be committed to their own professional development;
  • have experience or training in cross-curricular primary practice;
  • be willing to take an active role in the wider aspects of school life.

Teaching Assistant (1 to 1)

Salary Details: £18,426pa (pro rata) – actual salary £12,060pa

Part Time

Fixed Term till August 2020

28.75 hours per week (8.30-12 and 1-3.15), term time only Required from November 2019 or as soon as possible afterwards

We are looking to appoint a reliable, committed and capable Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support in the classroom with an individual pupil in LKS2 who has an EHCP (SEND)

Ideally you should offer:

  • experience of working with children with additional needs
  • good literacy and numeracy skills (minimum level of GCSE Maths and English or equivalent is essential)

You will need to:

  • be flexible and adaptable
  • be calm and patient (but firm)
  • have great interpersonal and communication skills
  • be able to use your own initiative, as well as being able to work as part of a team
